Job Description Summary: 

  • Supports and assists corporate and strategic referral base management initiatives by creating print and digital visual and textual communications that meet Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) brand guidelines, reflect contemporary design trends, and effectively present marketing goals
  • Prioritizes and prepares a high volume of design work by thoroughly gathering, organizing, and reviewing information and materials
  • Obtains approval by submitting drafts and revising work based on feedback
  • Contributes to team efforts by providing design expertise and creativity to solve problems
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures.  Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related fine arts field.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.

Previous Experience:

  • Strong graphic design portfolio that showcases prior work required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the role of graphic designer preferred. Prior direct employment for a large healthcare company or experience in a marketing or public relations firm or department supporting healthcare businesses preferred.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in: Mac OS, Adobe Design Suite, principally: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience with digital asset management and project management systems, Microsoft 365 Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with WordPress and other CMS, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Animate a plus.
  • Experience with Excel, SharePoint and Publisher preferred.

Must be detail oriented with the ability to exercise sound independent judgment. Experience working self-sufficiently on multiple projects at once, prioritizing to meet deadlines within short time frames.
  • Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material.
  • Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. A second language is an asset but not required. Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide balanced feedback desired.
  • Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Patient and client focused. Ability to embody and promote a culture of quality, performance effectiveness, and operational excellence through best practices, corporate acumen, collaboration, and partnerships, as well as positive employee, care provider, and community relations.
  • Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from various stakeholders and sites.
