About this role  

 

 

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Graphic Designer. This role can be remote. 

As a Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating compelling designs across a variety of media, while adhering to our brand guidelines. Your keen eye for detail, strong design skills, and ability to collaborate with cross-departmental teams effectively will be essential to our success. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Reinforce our established brand identity across all marketing channels. 

  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure brand consistency 

  • Adhere strictly to our brand guidelines to ensure consistency and maintain our brand identity 

 

Print Design: 

 

  • Create visually appealing and impactful print materials, including data sheets, brochures, print advertisements, flyers, promotional graphics, posters, annual reports, and tradeshow needs. 

  • Collaborate with marketing team leads to ensure consistent messaging across all design mediums 

 

Digital Design: 

 

  • Design and develop visually stunning landing pages, email templates, web pages, and digital advertisements 

  • Optimize designs for various digital platforms and devices 

  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends and technologies while maintaining brand consistency 

 

Trade Show Graphics: 

 

  • Design and create eye-catching trade show booth graphics, including banners, displays, and signage. 

 

Packaging Design: 

 

  • Design packaging for our products, ensuring that it is visually appealing and informative 

 

Illustration and Iconography: 

 

  • Create original illustrations, designs and icons that align with our brand style and enhance designs 

 

Project Management: 

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously for multiple brands (Edwards/Kidde Commercial), ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success 

  •  

Social Media:  

 

  • Develop engaging animated or static images to enhance social media campaigns 

  • Leveraging video editing skills to create dynamic content that resonates with the target audience 

  •  

Power point presentations  

 

  • Develop and design presentations for Leadership team, converting business ideas into a compelling and clear story and content  

 

 

Basic Qualifications 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design  

  • 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design 

 

 

 Preferred Qualifications  

 

  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills and versatility 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) 

  • Excellent understanding of design principles, layout, typography, and color theory 

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and content management platforms for designing web pages 

  • Work independently and as part of a team 

  • Understanding of packaging files in various formats including large scale formats, prints (bleed, crop marks, color modes), and digital needs such as HTML for eblasts 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines 

  • Communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Understanding of Figma and/or Adobe XD Edit longer videos into snackable content for various platforms (YouTube shorts, TikTok, etc.)  

  • Experience in designing for digital marketing platforms 

  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS 

  • Experience with animation or motion graphics 

  • Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles
