Job Summary:
The UX Designer I serves as part of the UX/UI team, works hand-in-hand with Product Management and Software Development teams to deliver experiences that delight users. Designers balance doing research, building prototypes and testing them with delivering ready-to-develop designs. They gather data and generate insights from a variety of user research tools and methodologies to inform our design perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as part of the team for user experience design for the end-to-end customer journey; inclusive of website, native apps (iOS and Android), and custom built software for in-store and above-store applications.
Collaborate with Design and Product leadership to define features and contribute to the overall direction of your project.
Design flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and rapid prototypes.
Participate in user research and analysis of findings to inform design decision-making.
Communicate design concepts and specifications to teammates and stakeholders.
Participate with the team on deep dive sessions, design sprints, and design reviews.
Partner closely with the development team to ensure high-quality implementation of the UX design specification.
Assist other UX Team members with the creation of interactive prototypes for both internal use and testing needs
Stay current on emerging industry trends, and the competitive landscape to provide insight on ways to improve usability, and website functionality.
Review user feedback from a variety of sources and compile it into actionable observations and opportunities for improvement.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1 year related experience in work or academic environments.
Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Visual Design, related field or equivalent experience.
Proficiency using design tools (Sketch, Adobe Create Suite, etc.) and prototyping tools (InVision, Figma, etc).
Knowledge of typography and graphic design fundamentals a plus.
Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Some knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred.
Self-motivated, interest in new tools and technology.
